Terms and Conditions

Electricity: The venue (location) must have a minimum of one 15–20-amp (standard) plug within 25 feet of the setup location. 3 plugs would be nice. One centrally located by the setup area and 1 on each side. TJ Karaoke & DJ Service will attempt to contact the event location. Ultimately, it is the client’s responsibility to verify this requirement is met.


Space Requirements: The smallest amount of space required is a 10-foot wide by 8-foot-deep area. Ideally 12 feet by 20 feet.


Shelter: The venue you select must provide shelter in which TJ Karaoke & DJ Service’s equipment shall be protected from any adverse weather (Ex. Rain, high winds, snow, etc..). In the event weather should prevent the performance due to a lack of shelter, a refund will not apply.


Time Extensions: TJ Karaoke & DJ Service is contracted based on the number of hours for your event. If you wish to extend the hours the rate is $100 per hour ($50 per half hour) and needs to be known at least 30 minutes in advance so we can adjust the playlist appropriately.


Time Reductions: TJ Karaoke & DJ Service is contracted based on the number of hours for your event. If circumstances dictate the event ends early or starts late through no fault of TJ Karaoke & DJ Service, there will be no reduction in fees paid. Full payment for the contracted time is expected.


Time Definitions: The following guidelines are expected. Anything outside of these guidelines must be known and agreed upon at or prior to the meeting date.


Ceremony: The time noted for your ceremony is the time the ceremony is expected to begin. TJ Karaoke & DJ Service will be set up and playing a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. Time allotted: 1.5 hours


Ceremony Reception/Cocktail/Happy Hour: The time noted for this begins 1 hour prior to the dinner start time. Time allotted: 1 hour.


Dinner & Post Dinner: The time noted for your dinner start time. Time allotted: 1.5 hours


Reception / Dance: The time noted for your Reception / Dance start time. Time allotted: 4 hours


Client Termination: Termination needs to be 30 days or more before the event date. Retainer fees (if paid) are non-refundable. Terminations with less than 30 days’ notice will require the event to still be paid for in full or re-scheduled. If a retainer was not paid and an event is re-scheduled, a 50% retainer fee will be required at the time of re-scheduling.


Service Termination: In the event TJ Karaoke & DJ Service needs to terminate an event. All efforts will be made to reschedule. If a rescheduled date is not possible or available, all monies (retainer fee) paid will be returned within 30 days of the EVENT date.


Equipment: TJ Karaoke & DJ service’s equipment varies with the type of event and location. However, it generally consists of: A laptop/computer (music), DJ Console (mixer and lighting controls), light bars with stands (dance floor lighting), and speaker(s). Any and all equipment could be substituted, added to, or detracted from per the situation. The goal being to provide music/entertainment for the events guests.


Indemnification: In the event a guest is harmed in any way by a person(s) or equipment associated with TJ Karaoke & DJ Service, client will not hold TJ Karaoke & DJ Service liable. In the event person(s) or equipment associated with TJ Karaoke & DJ Service are harmed in any way by client or guest(s). The person responsible shall be held accountable for restitution. In the event the person cannot be held responsible, the responsibility will fall to the client. TJ Karaoke & DJ Service does NOT require event insurance, but we do encourage it.


Disorderly Conduct: In the event guests or patrons become unruly and/or anything that causes concern for the entertainer’s (DJ's) physical, mental, or emotional well-being or threats of any kind to the equipment and/or person(s). The entertainer reserves the right to discontinue the event without refund regarding payment(s) made. Balance if unpaid will still be due.


Tips/Gratuities: Tips/Gratuities are not figured into the package pricing. While a tip/gratuity is always appreciated, it is never expected. TJ Karaoke & DJ Service prices their service competitively (on the lower side) on purpose. If you feel the DJ / Service went above and beyond by all means show your appreciation.
